We’re thrilled to announce that we now have a curator to guide this artistic journey: Savanna Rita.

Savanna is a Chicago-based artist, photographer, and curator who lives and breathes art. After moving to Chicago ten years ago to attend the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, she earned her BFA in 2018 and has been immersed in the city’s vibrant art scene ever since. Savanna currently works at the Art Institute of Chicago and curates art shows for local businesses, bringing a sharp eye for detail and a passion for representation to every project.

Savanna’s dedication to supporting artists is unparalleled, and we’re honored to have her lead this effort at Prism Spaces. If you’re an artist looking for a space to showcase your work, Savanna wants to see what you’ve created.

Right now, Prism Spaces is home to the work of two amazing artists: Kala Cullars and Emma Lyons. Here’s a closer look at their powerful and thought-provoking creations.

Kala Cree Cullars is an artist, author, and counselor whose work defies convention and embraces authenticity. With a BA in Psychology and an ongoing MA in Forensic Psychology, Kala draws from her unique perspective to create pieces that challenge societal norms and inspire self-discovery. Her work, including her poetry book Memoir of a Ghost, helps people reconnect with their true selves by blending wild creativity with raw honesty.

Through both digital and physical mediums, Kala’s art serves as a reminder of our divine essence, meeting viewers at the intersection of pain and purpose.

Emma Lyons is a self-trained artist whose vibrant and geometric Abstracture style combines the boldness of Divisionism with the precision of Pointillism. Inspired by themes of self-esteem, vulnerability, and acceptance, Emma’s work encourages viewers to take up space and embrace their worth.

From her home studio in Chicago, Emma creates art that has captivated audiences locally and globally. Her collaborations include clients like Prada, the Chicago Shakespeare Theater, and the Gatsby Speakeasy.
